gifts all over the place.

  • a testimony of a life turned around...where this kid is now compared to where he was is MIRACULOUS 
  • will morrison's acoustic worship one song of oh so many
  • another fun time at the library
  • zoe's absolute delight and enjoyment of the pool - "this is SO much fun!" 
  • mallory's excellent communication and fundraiser ideas for souled out
  • delicious mornings on the porch...complete with dinosaur pjs, bubbles and chalk 
  • pickle ball and B. Merrills with Jim and Shelley
  • the car ride to douglasville was absolutely worth it
  • nick bought a car, Zoe and I bought doughnuts
  • mercy ships' podcast "new mercies" - hearing the voices of Amy Jones and Jamie Barki 
  • moments of productivity.  taking care of stuff. 
  • verses shared with a friend and sweet reminders 
  • it's all working out just fine for st. simons
  • reading about labyrinths in Georgia
  • a phenomenal "ultimate prom" for these 2 
  • Emma's help with Zoe...and her unicorn horn making abilities
  • yaya's faithfulness to keep Zoe for us to have date night
  • the most precious unicorn in her magical dress 
  • chili cheese pup picnic
  • salted caramel biscotti...the best I've had lately. 
  • my answer was shared! 


  • perfect pizza and chicken salad picnic with the sweetest company Sunday afternoon

still giving thanks.

  • telling siri to "please play my favorite music" and it played really good stuff!
  • coffee + blueberry doughnut + to light their way + rain + front porch 
  • used car lot of teenage boys' cars at our house (thankful that they gather here so often)
  • calvary's production of cinderella 
  • all the new tires and nick's willingness to take care of them all 
  • sweet, sweet easter 

  • more toys than candy in the easter eggs
  • friends at cityscape - taste of heaven
  • afternoon and evening at home with cash crew
  • mallory + other HS girls came to caroline's soccer game
  • caroline's leftovers from wasabi
  • the guy that hit the tree is ok
  • BREATHE outside
  • homemade salted caramel sauce (and the hands that prepared it)
  • challenging reminder to foster joy:

  • extra stickers from Wickline's!!  
  • potluck with cityscape staff...so enjoyable and easy and full of laughter
  • walking the trails with victoria at ancient way farm (and then enjoying a cherry coke)

  • the cheerful voicemail recording at valley rescue mission - and the ease of scheduling a pick up (and they picked up the correct items!)
  • papa and lane got to come to Caroline's soccer game in macon - twice! and Laura Lane came the 2nd time.

  • eli's extra helpfulness
  • singing and dancing with the cash girls
  • a delightful night for a Savanah Bananas baseball game! Matt's generosity. 

  • watching my kiddos do what they think is right and best even if it's not what others are choosing to do
  • thinking about the idea that accepting/receiving help is a sign of strength and trust.

more of Him and more of His gifts

  • peaceful conversation with Ms. Edwards. ending a chapter can be refreshing. 
  • i asked for a song for the ride home and He gave me one: set a fire
  • molly's thoughtfulness...and how so much can be "said" with chips and chocolate - you're not alone, i'm thinking of you, i'm praying for you, i see you, what you're doing matters.
  • a daddy leaf blowing his littlest daughter to the house for bed
  • watching Eli with Zoe when he doesn't know I'm watching. 
  • daughters who made chocolate chip cookies together
  • chocolate cake for breakfast - thanks to wil having a birthday and he and Amy coming through Columbus
  • more chili lime seasoning from Trader Joe's - via Ella!  I haven't found anything that isn't better with that seasoning. 
  • my rookie mistake was more amusing than aggravating (not smart to ever leave baby power where a 2 year old can access it)

  • zoe's silliness...especially in the morning.  what a great way to start a day. 
  • sweet Tuesday time with some mamas and kiddos
  • unexpected Tuesday afternoon movie with the whole cash crew

  • great quote about hospitality (and the encouragement that came with it)
  • Wednesday afternoons at the White's house...quite possibly my favorite cup of coffee of the week.
  • that things weren't so much worse for my dad with the tree falling on the house

  • listening to nick's podcasts and knowing he certainly practices what he preaches
