03 January 2013

thankful. grateful. blessed.

  • new bucket of melty beads for the kiddos (and new ideas to boot)
  • made it through jessica's sleepover (spending the night with 12 and 13 year old girls wasn't so bad!)
  • chocolate cake for breakfast
  • nick doesn't hold grudges - he graciously accepts my apologies and moves on
  • packages on new year's eve!
  • andrew & krissy's willingness to process the crew mail so that we could get the packages!
  • time at the riviera on saturday
  • twice baked potatoes for breakfast - what a way to start 2013!
  • FB chatting with molly
  • this picture (it just makes me thankful)(and it makes me smile)(though the picture really doesn't do the fun and pleasure that was being had on this slide justice):
  • long sleeved t-shirts and hoodies
  • cash kid "train" on deck 8 (wish i had a picture to share)(maybe someday)
  • "the closer to Me you grow, the more fully you become your true self." - Jesus Calling
  • emma's enjoyment of her tea set
  • getting to go back to sleep after exercise class
  • when eli & caroline play nicely together
playing guitar hero.  notice the sock on caroline's right arm.
  • applejuice in the dining room again
  • the white's got a trampoline (i LOVE thinking about those boys enjoying it!)
  • eli's willingness to pay for his sisters' swords at the playground
  • the way freshly peeled oranges smell (especially on the streets of Conakry)
  • rousing game of hide and go seek new year's morning
  • incredibly numerous places to hide in 450 square feet
  • when the kids dress up (the storm trooper named emma evaded the picture)
  • mcmichael family beach trip is in the works (as is the cash family trek to GA this summer)
  • fun field trip to the dental clinic (blog post to come at cash crew blog)(hopefully soon)
  • gretchen's willingness to plan/prepare for aforementioned field trip
  • whole day spent happily in our cabin!
  • italian dressing
  • being awake in a quiet home before the day really gets started (makes me think of my dear friend, kathy)
  • God's great faithfulness (it's easy to see when i read through my thankful list...)
