and a few upside down thankful things...

• all the times masks are not required
• all of the times I have not forgotten my pajama pants on trips
• all of the times we've flown and flights have not be cancelled
• all of the flights where I have not gotten motion sick
• all of the days/afternoons not spent problem solving and trouble shooting airbnb issues

words fall short...very very thankful.

• very delightful breathe event...with eucalyptus shower spray take homes and very delicious lemon blueberry cake (and meaningful connections and conversations)

• pretzels and coke at some high level of altitude
• channeling my inner Lane - having coffee in the back of the plane
• driving along the Arizona road listening to Andrew Peterson's Nothing to Say

• getting to watch "American Underdog" on the flight
• the delight of traveling with the Cash Family
• this guy...he plans our trips (and leads our family) so incredibly

• amazing friends and family willing to take care of things at everbe to help make this trip possible
• very delicious french toast, bacon and sausage for dinner
• the MAGNIFICENCE of the Grand Canyon.  goodness.  words fall very short. 

• clean and comfy and air conditioned places to sleep
• the way all 3 older cash kids look out for/help with zoe
• our God is King of Canyons (every moment holy)

gifts and provision and abundance

• couch swapping 
• running into dear friends on our anniversary date night...(and getting complimentary dessert!)
• 20 years of marriage!

• losing soccer games aren't the end of the world (ridiculously thankful to get to hug Caroline in the midst of the disappointment)
• instructions (rejoice in the Lord! be joyful in God my savior!) and promises (He is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enable me to go on the heights!) 

• hearing Caroline teaching Zoe about the Bible
• sweet Mother's Day....full of kind and thoughtful words and gestures...
• plenty of pool time this week! (and after pool kisses and snuggles)

always more to be thankful for

• pre-game hype music 2 person dance party on the way home from peach tree city
• it worked for Amy to "pop on over" to Caroline's soccer game (gotta love that her conference was in the same city as Caroline's play-off game) 
• sweet sweaty friends "cheers-ing" with popsicles

• no line at golden doughnuts
• Jen High's smile
• Caroline's driving...it's getting better and better!

• eli's diligence with his CSU classes (and he's done for the semester!!)
• psalm 85:8 "He speaks peace to His faithful people." 
• lovely sunset and a daughter who notices

• wrapping up the school year....calmly and easily....
• there are blueberry bushes in our front yard!!!!
• good reminder/goal:

• another delightful date night (could have done without tripping on the tree root....but the picnic by lamb's lake more than made up for that)
• Patrick Aiken's kindness to Zoe...it's fun how he tries to connect with her
• incredible crew to share the Teen Advisor fun run/mile walk with

• Caroline's fan club/cheering section at Tuesday's game
